A few of us ran Spooners on Friday, then Sun Bonnet, and Aftershock on Saturday.
This is the entry to Spooners...one canyon west of Outer Limits:
Bronco Boy at the 1st Gatekeeper on Spooners:
Darrel at the same gatekeeper:
Second main obstacle. Bob testing his right side steering arm studs...of which he snapped two of four...but didn't find out till later
Same spot, but shown from downhill side. Yes, he's on winch.
Here's the NORMAL line...tough in it's own right.
Darrel get a little help from a TOYOTA!

Greg slipped and gouged his palm...ooop! He's fine...no stitches or broken bones...
Bob's right rear is about 6' off the ground! He couldn't back-up w/o flopping.
Just topped out of Spooners. What an awesome trail. This trail is one of the gnarliest trails out there. Not technically speaking, but ever-so-hard on the rigs. Everything from tight squeezes, to tire ripping, to LARGE loose boulder-fields, to gut-wrenching..."I'm hoping we get out of here in one piece" scenario after another!
Spooners is only for the toughest Hammer tested rigs ONLY!!! ...or else!
Day two:
Sun Bonnet
Aftershock:
Here's were I was testing my limits...I mean my Passenger's limits as he was insisting I'm "CRAZY!" Then I intentionally proved him correct...in his mind!
Bob pulling me back on mt feet...
Bob effortlessly clearing the last major waterfall on Aftershock.

Brian (Luke's Dad) needed just the slightest of a tug to get him through the same last major waterfall on Aftershock.
Luke finally clearing the same spot...after a few struggles of his own.
And then for the best part, Dave Cole came by camp last night and asked if I wanted to go out for a ride. Of course I said yes. This is the car. And believe it or now, we caught more air in it TWICE...as shown below. And the funniest part about it was just after we pulled away from camp, I thought we had some professional driver behind the wheel. Then I thought I recognized the drivers voice, and I looked a bit closer...and I said "Is that you Dawg?" (Mustard Dog). Then he replied and said..."Who the heck did you think it was?!" ...I said "A professional driver?"....We laughed....and I said "I guess I'm in for an E-Ticket Ride!) ...and it was!
Here's his car:
BTW, Daves car will be driven at this year's King of the Hammers event...150 plus miles. _________________ AceAlternators.com
